This policy document is designed not only to provide procedures and guidance but to provide information as well. Copies of this document were distributed to every parish for every priest, for every parish safeguarding representative and a copy was provided for display in sacristies. It is available on this website and on the diocesan website www.cloynediocese.ie and it may be downloaded.

Q. 5 Sometimes an altar server finds it difficult to tie the cincture on his/her vestments and asks me to tie it. Is it acceptable for me to help by tying the cincture for him/her? Click for answer

Q. 8 Altar servers do not serve mass during weekdays. Should the register be signed when the servers are not there? Click for answer
