I welcome you to this new Safeguarding Children Cloyne website.
Here you will find many useful resources such as policy documents, codes of behaviour, accident procedures, official forms and up to date information. It will be very useful to priests, parish safeguarding representatives, staff and volunteers in fulfilling the safeguarding duties of their respective roles. The website has been established by the Cloyne Diocesan Safeguarding Children Committee, and I commend all involved on the excellent quality of the material and layout of the website. Of course the committee are also involved in many other initiatives in the Diocese, such as training of parish personnel and parish audits, all aimed at ensuring best practice in the safeguarding of children in every corner of the Diocese of Cloyne, which must continue to be a priority for all of us.
